HOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!!!! finally a win for liverpool. they can only win at the most important and desperate moments. but then again. they have to win coz it was the strongest squad. where will liverpool stand if they lose. quite a wonderful match this morning. all put their lives down at anfield. haha. it was pretty obvious that the fighting spirit is back. wonder how long can it last again. rafa cant possibly name the strongest squad it every match you see. luton wasnt anything for them if they play well. but it took liverpool 45+1' to score the 1st goal. a bit sad lehx. a hat-trick in 12 minutes for our dearest skipper. wonderful. carragher almost score one. sami was the only one booked if never remember wrongly. quite a simple job for itandje coz he hardly touched the ball. hahahaha. 5-0!!!
ooohh. stevie's so great. haha. begged with rafa. fortunately he scored. carragher had a 5-0 win on his 500th appearance. nice.

see match report:
20:02 GMT : Match Starts
1 min : Luton get the game underway attacking the Kop end
1 min : Congratulations to Jamie C on his 500th appearance for the Reds
2 mins : Liverpool have begun brightly and are already stretching the Luton defence
3 mins : Alonso fires the first effort of the match over the bar after Stevie G threatened to go all the way. Great tackle by Reds old boy Don Hutchison though
5 mins : A superb hanging cross from the right from Pennant finds Crouch at the far post, but the big man steers his header inches wide
6 mins : Carra stops Talbot in his tracks with a typically well timed challenge. Some things never change
8 mins : A lightning break results in Stevie G picking out Babel, but his curling effort from 20 yards crashes back off the post
10 mins : Another cross from Pennant finds Crouch on the edge of the dee but his volley is fired straight at Brill
11 mins : Another half chance falls Crouchie's way but his volley is defelcted over the bar - although the referee decides it's a goal-kick
13 mins : The Luton faithful are cheering every defensive clearance. They nearly choked on their chants there though, as Torres fires over after ghosting in from the right hand side of the box
15 mins : Rafa's been out the dugout offering some advice to JAR
16 mins : Pennant's crosses are causing chaos in the Luton defence and Liverpool would have taken the lead then but Babel's goalbound effort is deflected wide
18 mins : Another attempt for Liverpool. This time Stevie G finds Crouch on the edge of the area but he volleys into the turf under pressure
19 mins : A rare attack for Luton sees Currie fire well wide of Itandje's goal
21 mins : Crouch heads down for Tores but some courageous Luton defending keeps El Nino at bay
22 mins : Hutchison slices a clearance out for a corner - it could have gone anywhere. An own goal on his Anfield return! What a nightmare that would have been
24 mins : It's been one way traffic so far tonight. How long before the Reds get the goal they deserve? (45+1' lo. that was long.)
27 mins : Babel brings down Talbot as the Hatters forward breaks from the halfway line. The young Dutchman was lucky to escape a caution there
27 mins : Talbot's still down receiving treatment
28 mins : Play has been halted. But he's up now and Luton will get play underway again
29 mins : Gerrard nearly feeds Babel in the inside left channel but Goodall just about keeps him at bay with a last-ditch tackle
30 mins : Luton boss Kevin Blackwell must be delighted that it is still 0-0 after 30 minutes. They've had to ride their luck at times though (so his name is kevin blackwell. no wonder his jacket had a big KB on it. eh. they have personalised training suit for the management lo.)
33 mins : Arbeloa raids down the right but his low ball in is mis-kicked by Crouch straight into the grateful Brill's arms
36 mins : A great block by Hutchison stops a 25-yard Ryan Babel rocket from testing Brill
37 mins : It's a comedy of errors in the box as Riise's low ball is fired over the bar following an error by a Luton defender
38 mins : Well Rafa won't be the only person inside Anfield scratching his head in surprise if this remains goalless at the interval
41 mins : A series of JAR long throws cause panic in the away side's box but once again Liverpool fail to capitalise on mis-hit clearances
43 mins : Torres holds off one challenge to get a shot in but once again a Luton shirt is in the way and the visitors clear
45 mins : There will be a minimum of one minute added time.
45 mins : GOAL! Ryan Babel:
20:49 GMT : Half Time Reached
21:05 GMT : Second Half Begins
46 mins : Liverpool restart the second period attacking the Kop end
46 mins : And Xabi Alonso tries an audacious effort from it but Brill just about gathers the ball at the second attempt. A fine try from our Spanish playmaker (this was a funny start. first time see this happening. stevie was standing with hands behind his back and both he and torres was starring at xabi to kick the ball. weird la. where got people start like that sia. *shows how much xabi wants history to repeat.* haha.)
47 mins : The Reds have made a fast start to the half and look keen to wrap up the tie as soon as possible
48 mins : Pennant's crossing has been quite superb tonight and another whipped ball in from the right touchline finds Crouch but he fails to get a clean header away under pressure from Hutchison
50 mins : Luton must have felt it was job done on 44 minutes but at this level you can't switch off for a minute. Liverpool deserve the lead and could easily be out of sight by now
52 mins : GOAL! Steven Gerrard:
54 mins : Crouch has been down after colliding with the post. Thankfully he's back on now after a minute or two of treatment (painful la. slided from the smallest box straight to the post.)
57 mins : GOAL! Sami Hyypia:
59 mins : It's all over for Luton. The Reds are rampant and we've even gone close to a rare Carra goal following a Torres flick on from a corner. That would cap the night! (EH!! almost a goal LA!!! wasted lo.)
62 mins : Hatters skipper Matthew Spring drills a shot way over the bar as the away fans celebrate a rare sight of goal
64 mins : GOAL! Steven Gerrard:
65 mins : Substitution: Dirk Kuyt for Peter Crouch:
67 mins : It's nice to see the goals flowing once again. We nearly had the roar of the match then as Carra advanced towards the area, but the one-two with Babel didn't come off.
68 mins : Substitution: Steven O'Leary for Steve Robinson:
68 mins : Substitution: Paul Furlong for Calvin Andrew:
70 mins : First Booking: Sami Hyypia:
72 mins : GOAL! Steven Gerrard: Hat-trick man
73 mins : Substitution: Lucas Leiva for Steven Gerrard:
73 mins : Substitution: Paul McVeigh for David Bell:
73 mins : Substitution: Fabio Aurelio for Fernando Torres:
75 mins : Not a bad night for Stevie G. Hammers in his hat-trick before leaving the field to a great ovation (heh heh. bet this commentator didnt know about the plea. haha.)
77 mins : The Hatters are well and truly beaten now. Their fans are singing 'we want one.' They know it's all over.
80 mins : It looks like Stevie is setting up his own personal duel with Torres. That's 15 for the season for our skipper now - and he gets the match ball
81 mins : The attendance tonight is 41,446
82 mins : They've all been treated to a second-half goal fest
83 mins : So who will it be in round four? Swansea or Havant and Waterlooville. We find out tomorrow
83 mins : It should be six. Kuyt has just headed inches wide after another great ball in from Pennant (wrong. should be more than 6 coz right after stevie's 1st goal, some red guy kick the ball from halfway line i think, then luton's keane head in the wrong direction and it went past brill before keane clearing it just on the line.)
86 mins : Well it doesn't look like Carra is going to get that goal to cap the night - but he'd probably be happier with the clean sheet anyway
88 mins : Well we can finally celebrate our first win of 2008. Let's hope we can go on from here
90 mins : There will be a minimum of two minutes added time
21:52 GMT : Match Over
