- What is it like to play against a centre back like John Terry? Do you understand him when he shouts at you?
You always learn to understand the things that happen out on the pitch first. During the first three or four days of training you don’t really understand anything, not even the types of training exercises that have to be done. You soon pick it up though, but when Terry, or anybody else for that matter, talks to me quickly, they can say anything they want because I will not be able understand them (laughs out loud).

- Any curious stories of life in England and how things are different from Spain?
Nearly everything is different; the money, they use miles instead of kilometres, and they drive on the other side of the road. At the start I was a bit tense when it came to driving, like for example when it came to a crossing in the road, I would look the wrong way first, but you adapt to the change. It was funny though when I went back to Spain with the national team and had to drive on the other side of the road again, you could say it was a really strange experience (laughs out loud).

After each game he usually goes to his office and then to the Press Room. That's what he did.

They all patted my head... Wait until I get my hands on Sergio Ramos... He didn't stop hitting me on the head! (Laughs).

It was a very happy moment for me and all my teammates were happy too. They all hugged me; that was very important for me. I feel great affection for my teammates, and they for me.

You played under Fabio Capello at Juventus and Real Madrid. What does he do to teams to make the champions?
It depends. He went more unnoticed at Juve because the team had a very strong work ethic. He stood out at Real Madrid because there were players on the team that weren't used to working hard or to arrive early to a training session before he got here. That's why the first half of the season wasn't good; several players had to get used to that.

Arjen Robben must be looking forward to starting and you must be looking forward to playing with him... I played against him when he was at Chelsea and I at Feyenoord two years ago... He broke my nose (laughs). Two weeks ago my family was here and they drove to training with Robben. My mother told him she forgave him for breaking my nose! He had forgotten about it, but apologised. Robben’s a good guy.

yesterday so dumb lo. e4 bbq but we went off without havng anything. long story anyway. went to desmond's house coz we were early. then it started raining at 1800hrs. sq, daph and me hiding in the house for shelter. then the guys had fun in the rain.
stupid. that was the time to set up the pit lo. then as the girls came. wah. the things started to turn sour. wth. we were still talking happily with the guys coz long time never see them (me and daph mistook zw's girlfriend for des's grandma's maid-not our fault. she looked like one. maybe is her dressing. so sorry for that. no offence.) when et and nadine came into the house, i just came out from the toilet. wth. i said 'yoz' and et just stared at me and turned over. haiz. what was that for? at least nadine gave me a smile after that said hello after a few minutes. they were blocking my path somemore. in the end, i left with the 2 of them coz they had tuition at 2000hrs. those poly girls just ignore our presence. haiz. wah. they really change so much.
